"The 2024 Human Rights Theme, 'Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now' is a chord struck beyond the Lines": Meti M. Ukpeh, Esq Echoes

December 10, of every year is the celebration of International Human Rights day and the theme for this year caption the heart of humanity entitled "Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now".

This slogan for this Human Rights year celebration is a powerful movement that emphasizes the importance of human rights in shaping our collective future. 

As we celebrate this unique International Human Rights day, we must all be reminded that the theme has struck a chord beyond the line. It is not a mere word. Neither a sweet-coated tongue upon a moistened rock. It must be given due attention notwithstanding the frailties and pocket ills in the society.

 I therefore, call upon the Nigeria Bar Association being the front-runner in this celebration, my colleagues in this prestigious Legal profession to continue to strengthen the promotion, protection and enforcement of the right of Nigerians and those who live in Nigeria, and the society at large.
