A Call to Purpose: Rebranding the Bar Through Unity, Service, and Vision: Lawrence Shegun Ayewa

During his recent consultation visits across branches—from Udu, Warri, and Effurun to Benin, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Okrika, Ezeagu, Enugu, Egbe Amofin, and Ikeja Lawrence Shegun Ayewa, aspirant for the office of National Publicity Secretary, has shared a consistent and urgent message: the image of the Bar must be projected positively.

This engagement has revealed a common desire among members—a Bar that is united, respected, and responsive. The need for cohesion within the Bar cannot be overstated; only through unity can the profession effectively defend its values and strengthen its voice.

Equally vital is the welfare of members. A strengthened Bar must prioritize the well-being, growth, and support of its lawyers, ensuring they are empowered to uphold justice with integrity.

Beyond this, the Bar must take a leading role in addressing challenges within the judicial system by proposing practical solutions and driving meaningful reforms.

This is more than just consultation. It  is a call to collective responsibility. The future and image of the Bar depend on what we build together.
