NBA Akwa Ibom Vice Chairmen Commit to 16 Days of Human Rights Activism and Mentorship

The Body of Vice Chairmen of the Nigerian Bar Association, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, made history today as they convened for their inaugural meeting!

The gathering marked a significant milestone in fostering unity and collaboration among Vice Chairmen (Angela Mick-Akpabio, Vice-chairman Uyo Branch; Ime Edemeka, Vice-chairman of Eket Branch; Samuel Udiminue,
Vice-chairman of Oron Branch and Ifiok Gideon Udofia, Representative of Ikot Ekpene Bar) paving the way for a stronger, more cohesive NBA in Akwa Ibom State.

16 Days of Human Rights Activism: The Vice Chairmen committed to collaborating and achieving the best results in the forthcoming activism, promoting human rights awareness and protection in Akwa Ibom State.

Vice Chairmen pledged to work together, sharing expertise and resources for the advancement of the Bar.
The body identified key areas of focus, including mentorship, capacity building, and welfare initiatives.

Some of our Activities will also include visit to the Chief Judge, Attorney General, Commissioner of Police, Comptroller of Prison, Inauguration of Police Duty Solicitors Scheme
Duty Solicitors Network;
Training on how to handle Human Rights Cases; Stakeholders Meeting and Consultation, among others
