Legal practitioner and founder of Legal Digest, Meti Monday Ukpeh, has commended the Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Branch for what he described as its longstanding commitment to empowering young lawyers within the legal profession.

Ukpeh made the remarks while attending the branch meeting held on 11 March 2026, where he noted that the Lagos Branch has, over the years, maintained a reputation for creating space for young lawyers and giving young lawyers voices to participate actively in the affairs of the bar.

According to him, the branch has consistently provided opportunities for younger members of the profession to express their views, contribute to discussions, and develop confidence within the legal community. He observed that such inclusiveness plays an important role in strengthening the profession and ensuring that emerging lawyers are properly integrated into the bar.

The Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Branch has long been regarded as one of the most vibrant branches of the association, known for encouraging participation across different levels of practice and supporting initiatives that benefit younger practitioners.

Ukpeh described the continued recognition and encouragement of young lawyers as a positive tradition that has helped shape the branch’s identity over time, noting that platforms that give younger members a voice ultimately contribute to the growth and sustainability of the legal profession.
