Meti Monday Ukpeh, the past YLF Chairman, Uyo Branch, Legal practitioner and founder of Legal Digest, has described his recent visit to the Nigerian Bar Association Kano Branch as a deeply rewarding experience, noting that the branch stands as a pillar of unity, strength, and professional distinction within the Nigerian Bar.
Discussing with members during the visit, Meti Monday Ukpeh expressed admiration for the depth of talent, discipline, and intellectual capacity present within the Kano Bar. He remarked that the branch continues to command respect across the country for its consistency in producing sound practitioners and fostering a culture of excellence rooted in professionalism and mutual respect.
He stated it was a great honour to be welcomed in home to influential senior legal figures, such as Aare Nureini Jimoh SAN, who are often credited with fostering camaraderie and professional collaboration across diverse backgrounds.
Meti Monday Ukpeh also expressed joy witnessing the commitment to rule of Law, praising Bar leaders within the Kano legal axis, such as Hon. Haruna Dederi (Kano State Attorney General), who have been hailed as champions of "Legal Unity," emphasizing that a collective commitment to the rule of law is the fabric of society.
According to him, the Kano Branch reflects the true spirit of the Bar, one built on unity across diverse backgrounds, shared commitment to justice, and a collective responsibility to uphold the dignity of the legal profession. He noted that the level of engagement and quality of participation within the branch is a testament to its strong institutional character.
